Day 3 is a wrap; Austin beckons tomorrow
From a hotel room in Oklahoma City …
For the third straight day, I logged just over 700 miles (708.7 this time) on the road, and I’m knackered (expression I learned in Australia). Stories from drive through parts of Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas will have to wait until at least tomorrow.
But for the moment, here are the updated numbers and names of states visited:
- Total miles driven: 2131.9
- Day 1 miles: 717.5
- Day 2 miles: 705.5
- Day 3 miles: 708.7
- States I’ve driven and/or stopped in (new states for me in bold): Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma
- Social media pals I’ve met up with: 7
Coffee with Tiffany Monhollon awaits in the morning, and then the 400-mile drive to Austin! I expect to arrive there in late afternoon or early evening, when I’ll be checking into our extended-stay hotel for the next week.
